Laggy.uk is a privacy-first broadband speed test. There are no ads, and analytics only run if you opt in.

Who we are

Laggy.uk is operated by SearchSwitchSave.com, which is the data controller for this service.

What happens when you run a test

Optional benchmark logging (off by default)

Benchmark logging is opt-in. When you enable SHARE, we send:

Purpose: to provide ranking and aggregated benchmark reporting for Laggy.uk users.

Retention: individual test rows are retained for 90 days, then automatically pruned. Aggregated statistics may be retained longer for reporting purposes.

Data pruning: Old test records are automatically deleted after 90 days to comply with data retention policies.

Lawful basis: consent for optional logging and device storage; legitimate interests for basic operational security and abuse prevention (e.g., rate limiting).

Device storage

All optional storage is off by default and only set if you choose REMEMBER. If you opt in to analytics, Google Analytics may set cookies for measurement.
